Hi friend,
Itās Ferdi, sitting on my mossy patch with the cool stream running past my toes. The air smells like fallen leaves and late autumn sunlight, and everything feels a little softer today. Maybe itās the season, or maybe itās my tummy remembering last yearās cattail-root pie. Hard to say.
Thanksgiving makes me think about all the tiny moments that shape our days. Not the big splashy leaps, but the little ones. The quiet, gentle ripples.
Today Iām thankful forā¦
The warm spots on smooth river stones
The way they hold the sunās memory long after sunset. I like to sit on them when the evenings get chilly. I pretend theyāre cheering me on.
Friends who show up in all shapes and shells
From Silas with his slow, steady stories
to Fiona with her bright giggles
to Bramble Bear who insists every leaf is a poem
to Bartholomew who somehow knows the answer to every math riddle Iāve ever asked.
Iām lucky to have a forest full of hearts around me.
The sound of water that never stops moving
It reminds me that I donāt have to know everything today.
Some things flow into place when the time is right.
Little acts of kindness
Like dragonflies who pause long enough to say hello
and turtles who scoot over so you can share the log
and humans who smile at a small frog exploring the world one hop at a time.
And most of allā¦
Iām thankful for you.
You sit with me, you learn with me, you imagine with me.
The stream feels bigger and friendlier because youāre part of it.
Wherever you are today, I hope you find some tiny moments to carry with you.
Little thoughts of gratitude can go a long way.
Happy Thanksgiving from the stream.
Your pal,
Ferdi
Until next hop, your pal, Ferdi šø
